A long time in the works, it is with great pleasure that I now present my images of wildlife and nature from around the world via my website: www.tedkenefickphotography.com

Many of the animals featured in the galleries are perhaps less well-known while others are familiar everyday critters.  Some like the lions and gorillas of Africa are large and iconic…the so-called “charismatic megafauna.”  But smaller and less conspicuous species like the Columbian Ground Squirrel and the Halloween Pennant dragonfly are here as well.

Through my images, I hope to cultivate further awareness and appreciation of these species with whom we share our planet.  All are extraordinarily valuable and amaze in different ways as they survive and thrive through strategies that are often incomprehensible to us.  Whether predator or prey, large or small, airborne or terrestrially bound, brown or black or purple or gray, every species plays a vital role in its intricate biological network – its respective ecosystem.

The animals presented here were photographed wild and unencumbered in their natural habitats from the Brazilian Pantanal to the icy realms of Antarctica to the savannas of East Africa.

These are a few of the 8.7 million species with whom we share our planet.

All of my images are available for sale through my website and can be licensed for editorial use by contacting me directly at [email protected]

Watch out for future blog posts on the website and Facebook page.
